Key points
·
Protecting capital in today's markets requires immense speed and precision.
·
A financial analyst preparing a deal memo works across licensed market data, internal models, and confidential client files.
·
General-purpose AI lacks the real-time accuracy, verifiable data lineage, and strict security that financial institutions demand.
·
While model intelligence is necessary, without deep integration into trusted financial systems, it is not sufficient.

Google Cloud introduced Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services to address financial institutions' needs for secure, accurate AI tools integrated into existing workflows. The platform combines domain-specific skills, secure data connectors, and pre-built agents to support tasks such as report formatting, data retrieval, and research methodologies. All components operate within an organization's existing security and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with established policies.

The solution includes the Financial Research agent, a Google-managed tool designed for end-to-end research with explainability features. It provides confidence scores, explicit methodologies, and source citations, while integrating with enterprise systems via the Secure Model Context Protocol (MCP). Analysts can use it directly or embed it into custom workflows through Agent-to-Agent APIs, producing reports in familiar formats.

Gemini Enterprise supports connections to licensed financial data platforms and enterprise systems, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Daloopa, Finnhub, Fiscal.ai, Guidepoint, Moody’s, MSCI, PitchBook, SEC Edgar, Dun & Bradstreet, and CoinDesk Data. Access remains bound by existing role-based controls, ensuring licensed and permissioned data stays protected.

The platform is designed for scalability through a partner ecosystem of global systems integrators and fintech providers, including Accenture, Deloitte, Infosys, KPMG, and others. A governed control plane enforces security policies, private data isolation, and verifiable grounding, adapting to workflows such as credit risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, and compliance tasks.
