OpenAI models are coming to Google Cloud
OpenAI’s advanced models and agentic workflows will be integrated into Google Cloud’s Model Garden, enabling enterprises to deploy AI at scale with built-in governance and infrastructure.
OpenAI and Google Cloud announced a partnership to integrate OpenAI’s frontier models and Codex agentic workflows into Google Cloud’s Model Garden. This collaboration will provide customers with native access to these models, allowing them to power complex agentic workflows at scale. The integration leverages Google Cloud’s data governance and high-performance infrastructure to support enterprise workloads.
Google Cloud highlighted its longstanding investment in machine learning and AI as a foundation for this partnership. By bringing OpenAI’s models into its Model Garden, the company aims to enable developers and data scientists to modernize software development lifecycles and build agentic workflows within their existing environment. The move is designed to help enterprises adapt how their teams work with AI technologies.
For organizations in regulated industries, the integration addresses critical needs by pairing OpenAI’s frontier models with Google Cloud’s built-in access controls and centralized data governance. The combination ensures compliance while supporting demanding enterprise workloads through high-performance infrastructure. This approach aims to provide a secure and scalable path for AI deployment.
Google Cloud customers will be able to purchase OpenAI frontier models via the Model Garden, transacted through the Google Cloud Marketplace. Enterprises with existing Google Cloud spend commitments can use those funds for these purchases. Additionally, OpenAI models will soon be available in Google Antigravity and the Gemini Agent, offering model choice flexibility for enterprises.
