Google has introduced Health Guardian features in the Google Health app, expanding wellness tracking options for Pixel Watch users. Beginning this week, users can set up blood pressure trends, insulin resistance trends, and sleep breathing quality metrics directly from their devices. These tools are available at no additional cost on Pixel Watch 3, 4, and 5, with the first trend reports scheduled for early October. The features operate in the background to monitor gradual physiological changes over time.

Fitbit Air users will gain access to insulin resistance and blood pressure trends later this year through a Google Health Premium subscription. The suite also includes Breathing Emergency Detection for Pixel Watch 4 and 5 users in select European countries, designed to automatically contact emergency services during severe drops in blood oxygen. Availability of these features depends on the user’s region, device, and subscription status.
