The feature, available in the Gemini Live API, Google AI Studio, and Google Translate app, aims to reduce language barriers in calls, meetings, and travel by minimizing pauses and awkward transitions during conversations.
Android 17 rolled out with floating app windows for multitasking, Screen Reactions for picture-in-picture recording, and security upgrades like biometric phone locking. The updates first reached Pixel devices in 2026, followed by broader Android compatibility, alongside expanded personalization and safety features in the June Pixel Drop, including AI-powered video creation and real-time voice translation.
