Hyundai Motor Group and Exploratorium Launch ‘Have Fun with Science’ Experiential Exhibition in Seoul
Hyundai Motor Group and the Exploratorium launched a free interactive science exhibition in Seoul, offering hands-on experiments ahead of a planned 2032 museum at the Global Business Complex.
Hyundai Motor Group and the Exploratorium unveiled ‘Have Fun with Science,’ a free experiential exhibition running from October 6 to December 15 at Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul. The display features 12 interactive stations exploring movement, ecology, light and sound, allowing visitors to engage directly with scientific principles. The initiative follows a strategic partnership established with the Exploratorium in April 2026 and serves as a prototype for content development for the Group’s future experiential science museum planned at the Global Business Complex in 2032.
The exhibition includes three activity programs focused on electrical circuits and electronic devices, enabling participants to build and operate drawing machines powered by rotational motion. Visitors can access all exhibits and programs at no cost by registering for a Hyundai Motorstudio membership. A special opening event, Spin the Night, will take place on October 6 for adult visitors, featuring activities such as the Science of Cocktails and a Take Apart program to dismantle everyday electronics.
Located on the fifth floor of Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul, the pop-up exhibition builds on a 2024 science pop-up held at Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang. It aims to gather visitor feedback to refine future exhibition content and operational approaches for the Group’s planned experiential science museum at the Global Business Complex. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to fostering curiosity and hands-on learning in science education.
The Exploratorium, founded in 1969 by physicist Frank Oppenheimer, pioneered hands-on science education and attracts nearly 750,000 visitors annually. Its long-standing partnership with Hyundai Motor Group supports the development of interactive exhibits for the upcoming museum, emphasizing experimentation and collaborative discovery as core educational methods.
