CSPR is available for trading!
Kraken has listed Casper Network’s CSPR token for trading, enabling users to deposit tokens via supported networks. The blockchain targets institutional and machine-commerce use cases with features like instant finality and quantum-safe cryptography.
The useful question is what changes for users, developers or buyers, and whether the announcement stays industry context or becomes something people can actually use.
Kraken has added Casper Network’s native token, CSPR, to its trading platform, allowing users to deposit tokens via supported networks. Deposits made through unsupported networks will not be recoverable. The exchange emphasized verifying deposit networks to avoid loss of funds. CSPR is the native token of the Casper Network, a Layer 1 blockchain designed for machine commerce and real-world asset transactions.
Casper Network was launched in 2021 with a focus on security, upgradeability, and predictable execution. Its protocol has since introduced features such as instant finality, native access controls, liquid staking, and multi-VM execution in Casper 2.0. The 2.1 update further reduced block times and implemented protocol-level fee burning. These upgrades aim to support institutional workflows and autonomous systems requiring reliable transaction finality.
The network’s roadmap prioritizes reducing user friction through gasless transactions, smart accounts, and improved signing flows. For institutional use, Casper supports regulated asset workflows involving multiple parties, such as issuers, investors, and regulators. It also incorporates quantum-safe cryptography as part of its long-term security strategy for enterprise adoption.
Kraken did not disclose future asset listings but noted that all available tokens can be found on its platform. Future listings will be announced via the Listings Roadmap and social media. The exchange’s client engagement team declined to comment on potential future additions to avoid speculation.
