Krak, a financial technology company under Kraken’s umbrella, has introduced its debit card in the US, targeting customers seeking practical rewards. The card provides up to 2% cashback on everyday spending, paid immediately in US dollars or Bitcoin, without requiring points or rewards programs. There are no monthly or annual fees, and deposits are free, positioning the card as a straightforward alternative to traditional credit cards. The card is issued by Lead Bank and operates on the Visa network, enabling use at over 150 million merchants worldwide and 2.5 million ATMs.

The Krak Card allows users to select the order in which balances are used at checkout, supporting over 600 currencies. This feature lets customers prioritize spending from specific accounts while keeping other assets untouched. Activation is streamlined through integration with Apple Pay or Google Pay, enabling contactless payments before the physical card arrives. The card is designed for in-store and online transactions across 200 countries, with no expiration on rewards and no points to manage.

Beyond standard cashback, the Krak Card offers up to 6% back on travel bookings through Krak Concierge, which provides exclusive hotel rates with up to 60% discounts. Cashback is automatically applied at checkout, and the card does not require borrowing money, addressing concerns about credit card debt. Krak reports that 60% of surveyed credit cardholders expressed interest in switching to a card that rewards spending without accruing debt.

Krak, launched in November 2025, has expanded from the UK and Europe to the US, where it now serves eligible residents. The card is part of a broader suite of financial tools in the Krak app, including money transfers and earning opportunities on held balances. Customers can order the card digitally or physically, with no hidden fees or complex reward structures. The service is powered by Stripe and operates under Visa’s network, ensuring broad compatibility.
