Less Time Managing Devices, More Time Supporting Growth: Aspial Scales Business with Lenovo TruScale DaaS
Aspial Corporation adopted Lenovo TruScale DaaS to modernize employee technology across its diverse businesses, replacing 500 aging devices with Lenovo ThinkPads via a subscription model that simplifies lifecycle management and reduces IT workload.
The useful question is what changes for users, developers or buyers, and whether the announcement stays industry context or becomes something people can actually use.
Aspial Corporation, a Singapore-based conglomerate with businesses in jewelry, retail, financial services, and hospitality, sought a scalable way to equip its workforce with modern devices. The company needed high-performing laptops and PCs to support its custom POS system and analytics tools. After evaluating options, Aspial selected Lenovo TruScale Device as a Service (DaaS), a subscription-based solution that bundles devices, deployment, support, and lifecycle management into a single scalable package.
The new approach replaced 500 outdated devices with 500 Lenovo ThinkPad laptops, including ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad T14s, and ThinkPad E14 models. Lenovo Custom Imaging Services pre-installed Aspial’s business applications, while Lenovo Premier Support provided 24/7 assistance. Aspial also utilized Lenovo Asset Recovery Services for secure device decommissioning and recycling, reducing IT’s administrative burden.
The transition improved application performance by up to 80%, enhancing responsiveness for Aspial’s POS systems and financial services analytics tools. The subscription model replaced capital-intensive purchases with predictable monthly spending, allowing Aspial to scale technology flexibly as its business expanded. IT teams spent less time managing routine device tasks and more time supporting core operations.
Aspial’s IT Infrastructure Lead, Simon Phai, highlighted the benefits of Lenovo TruScale DaaS, noting its simplicity and cost-effectiveness. The company plans to continue using the solution to support its growing portfolio, citing Lenovo’s reliable devices and strong support services as key factors in its decision.
