BMW Group’s involvement centers on the 'Large Industry Model' initiative, which unifies engineering knowledge and AI to develop multimodal reasoning models for complex use cases such as crash simulation.

ASML has begun working with Mistral AI to address engineering challenges, including optimizing high-performance part designs and control loops. On May 22, Mistral AI announced the acquisition of Emmi, adding advanced scientific capabilities to its offerings for industrial engineering firms. The company also highlighted its agentic AI tool, Vibe, which now handles long-horizon tasks such as coding, research, and process automation. Additionally, a new 10 MW data center in Les Ulis, France, is scheduled to open in Q3 2026 to enhance compute control and security for training and inference operations.
