FPL is deploying a 12,000-person restoration team and supplies ahead of Hurricane Isaias, urging customers to finalize emergency plans as the storm threatens power outages and severe impacts across Florida.
Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) is mobilizing a 12,000-member restoration workforce and pre-positioning equipment and supplies in anticipation of Hurricane Isaias, which is forecast to bring heavy rainfall, strong winds, storm surge, and tornadoes to the Florida Panhandle. The utility is urging customers to complete family and business emergency plans, monitor the storm’s progress, and heed guidance from local, state, and federal officials to ensure safety and preparedness.
FPL President and CEO Scott Bores emphasized the company’s readiness, stating that the restoration team is prepared to respond immediately once the storm impacts the region. He urged customers to finalize their preparations, noting that FPL’s priority is restoring power as quickly and safely as possible while customers rely on the company during the emergency.
