Companies are deploying the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform to unify planning, simulation, and operation of power grids and AI facilities, addressing a critical infrastructure bottleneck. Power constraints now stall over $300 billion in equipment and delay more than 200 gigawatts of U.S. grid projects, driven by historically siloed grid, facility, and compute systems. The platform enables end-to-end coordination from substations to server racks, reducing delays and stranded capacity while improving reliability and efficiency.

GE Vernova is contributing grid-to-facility and rack power expertise to NVIDIA DSX deployments, helping customers convert power limitations into competitive advantages. Hitachi Energy’s battery energy storage system has qualified as NVIDIA DSX Ready, aligning with reference architecture requirements for resilient, scalable AI factories. Schneider Electric, with AVEVA and ETAP, is advancing NVIDIA DSX with validated power and cooling reference architectures and an Omniverse-powered digital twin for lifecycle optimization.

Siemens Energy is developing a reference design for resilient, grid-aware power infrastructure aligned with NVIDIA DSX Vera Rubin requirements. The company is also evaluating NVIDIA technologies such as RAPIDS, Metropolis, and Isaac Sim to enhance grid monitoring, risk identification, and outage prevention within its Noedra digital twin platform. These efforts aim to strengthen power reliability and flexibility across generation, transmission, and distribution systems.

Phaidra integrated multiple NVIDIA DSX components into its self-learning agents, achieving about 10% more compute within the same power envelope by optimizing cooling and power allocation. Emerald AI’s Conductor platform, integrated with DSX Flex, models approaches to unlock up to 100 gigawatts of underused U.S. grid capacity, supporting utility-scale flexibility and efficiency.
