Total War: Warhammer 40,000, Alien: Isolation 2, Modern Warfare 4, and more will be playable ahead of release at PAX Australia next month

PAX Australia returns to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 9–11, offering attendees hands-on playable demos of several upcoming games. Sega will showcase four titles, including Total War: Warhammer 40,000 with three playable scenarios, Alien: Isolation 2, Persona 4 Revival, and the Yakuza prequel Stranger Than Heaven. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s multiplayer will also be available for testing ahead of its October 23 launch, providing early access to its gameplay mechanics.

Square Enix’s booth will feature a hands-on session for Final Fantasy 14 on Switch 2, where players can create a bracelet and take a themed photo. The localization director Michael-Christopher Koji Fox and global community producer Toshio 'Foxclon' Murouchi will host a behind-the-scenes panel, including a hot sauce challenge and war stories. Attendees will also receive an early preview of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation during a special showcase.

Ubisoft’s Community Esports stages will host a variety of events, including Rainbow Six Siege competitions, an Assassin’s Creed sea shanty singalong, the Ubisoft Cosplay Runway, and a Just Dance-Along. The expo floor will also include the PAX Rising indie showcase, featuring over 90 indie games available for play throughout the weekend.
