Introducing the next line of PS5 audio products: PlayStation Pulse and Pulse Edge Wireless Headsets
PlayStation announced two new wireless headsets, Pulse and Pulse Edge, featuring planar magnetic drivers and PlayStation Link support for improved audio clarity and spatial accuracy in gaming.
PlayStation introduced the Pulse Wireless Headset and Pulse Edge Wireless Headset, expanding its PS5 audio lineup with custom planar magnetic drivers designed to enhance sound separation and spatial accuracy. The new headsets include larger planar drivers for deeper bass while maintaining the clarity of previous models like Pulse Elite. PlayStation Link connectivity ensures lossless, ultra-low latency audio and allows seamless switching between PS5 consoles, PlayStation Portal, PC, and Mac, with simultaneous Bluetooth device support.
Both headsets feature AI-enhanced noise rejection in their integrated microphones to ensure clear in-game communication, alongside an updated design prioritizing comfort and durability. Rotating earcups enable the headsets to lay flat for easier portability. Available in White and Midnight Black, the headsets aim to deliver high-quality, immersive audio for gaming and entertainment.
The Pulse Edge Wireless Headset offers additional premium features, including planar magnetic drivers with double the magnet volume for richer bass, active noise cancellation, and a detachable boom mic for enhanced voice chat. It also includes a carrying case and is crafted with premium materials, targeting players seeking a higher-end audio experience.
PlayStation Pulse Wireless Headset will launch in select markets this holiday season, while Pulse Edge Wireless Headset will debut in early 2027. Further details, including pre-order dates, launch dates, and pricing, will be announced later.
