Marvel’s Wolverine: Story Trailer, new art, composer details, and more

PlayStation’s San Diego Comic-Con panel for Marvel’s Wolverine provided new story details and a Story Trailer featuring Logan confronting Jean Grey. Creative Director Marcus Smith, Game Director Mike Daly, and Narrative Director Walt Williams joined cast members Liam McIntyre and Krizia Bajos to discuss the game’s narrative. The trailer also introduced The Hand as an enemy faction and Deathstrike as a major antagonist, alongside new in-game artwork.

Insomniac Games announced a collaboration with Arc System Works to bring Wolverine’s suit from MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls into Marvel’s Wolverine. The stylized suit will be unlockable on Day 1, while a reciprocal suit will be added to MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls for free on September 1. The crossover expands the visual customization options for players in both titles.

Award-winning composer David Fleming was revealed as the creator of Marvel’s Wolverine’s soundtrack, which will be released on August 28, 2026. Fleming’s score dynamically adapts to Logan’s journey, with musical cues reflecting his emotional and physical state. The soundtrack will be available across streaming platforms alongside the game’s launch.

A prequel comic, written by Walt Williams and illustrated by Luke Ross, was released today to set up the game’s narrative. The comic explores Logan’s past with Team X and is available as an SDCC exclusive giveaway or via Marvel Unlimited. Marvel’s Wolverine launches on September 15, 2026, with pre-orders open for Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions on PlayStation Store and PlayStation Direct.
