Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 launches on November 6, introducing free content including new multiplayer maps, modes, and operator customization options. Players will explore war-torn environments like Backstab, Canyon, and River, alongside a reimagined Shoot House set in North Korea during snowfall. The update also brings back fan-favorite modes such as Grind and Drop Zone, offering fresh tactical challenges for competitive play.
The DMZ update introduces a newly seized weapons facility, X01, featuring shifting hazards, tunnels, and extraction points that require strategic planning and squad coordination to navigate safely. Additional DMZ Orders, Threat Briefings, and Resupply Runs expand the mode’s depth, alongside new Boss threats and deployment objectives. Two new maps, Hajin and Zodiac, will also be added to Call of Duty: Warzone as part of the Season 1 update.
Season 1 adds the Cronen Osprey Assault Rifle and the CSG-35 SMG to the arsenal, with the Osprey balancing speed and power for frontline reliability. The CSG-35 SMG delivers high fire rate at close range, enhancing close-quarters combat effectiveness. Both weapons are available through the Season 1 Battle Pass and the in-game store.
The Season 1 Battle Pass includes over 100 unlockable items, featuring Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, and Finishing Moves. A new catch-up system guarantees at least 50 rewards for premium Battle Pass owners, aligning progress with the current day up to day 50. The Battle Pass track simplifies navigation with a linear 100-tier system, streamlining reward collection.
