On September 24, 2026, we at CM Immersive are excited to bring the next evolution of its hardcore VR survival shooter to PlayStation VR2 with Into the Radius 2.

Into the Radius 2, the VR survival shooter, will release on PlayStation VR2 on September 24, 2026, following a complete rebuild of the original experience. The game introduces a new single-player campaign at launch, with a free update in Q4 2026 adding 2-player co-op. CM Immersive focused on deepening player control over gear, including customizable loadouts and weapon modularity, to enhance tactical immersion.

The sequel expands the Pechorsk Anomaly with a larger, more visually detailed environment filled with evolved entities. Enemies now use cover, flank, and coordinate attacks, while environmental storytelling through notes and artifacts deepens the narrative. Hazards behave unpredictably, including electric shocks, light-swallowing zones, and force fields that repel players, requiring constant adaptation to survive.

PlayStation VR2 integration enhances immersion through tactile weapon handling, adaptive trigger resistance, and haptic feedback that conveys actions like reloading or impacts. Native 90FPS performance and eye-tracked foveated rendering maintain clarity in dense fog, while 3D audio helps players detect hazards or enemies before they appear visually.

A free co-op update arriving in Q4 2026 will allow players to team up in the Anomaly, sharing resources and coordinating tactics. The sequel prioritizes a complete single-player experience at launch while offering future multiplayer support. Honoka Sugiyama of Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. confirmed the release date.
