Zelda Ocarina of Time release time in your time zone

Nintendo has announced the release timing for *The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time* remake on Switch 2, marking a significant visual and gameplay update from the 2011 3DS port. The remake includes a substantial visual overhaul and several quality-of-life improvements not present in the original Nintendo 64 version. Pre-orders remain available at select retailers, offering a special bonus, though U.S. customers have only one bonus option to choose from.

The game’s release time follows Nintendo’s standard practice for eShop titles, launching at midnight in the easternmost time zone of the player’s region. For example, in New York City, this means 12 a.m. on March 5, while in San Francisco, it translates to 9 p.m. PST on March 4. Players can access the game early by linking their Nintendo Account to another region, though Nintendo warns that un-linking and re-registering an existing account is cumbersome due to save data restrictions.

Ocarina of Time is exclusive to the Switch 2 and will not function on the original Switch hardware. Retailers worldwide are offering pre-order bonuses, but U.S. customers are limited to a single option: a game case with a special foil art cover. Demand has outstripped supply on platforms like Amazon, though other retailers such as Walmart have reported more consistent stock availability.

The Switch 2 console itself does not include the game, even if purchased as part of a bundle. Consumers should note that the console is sold separately from the game, and retailers may have varying availability for both the console and the game’s pre-order bonuses. Nintendo has not provided an exact release time beyond the standard midnight eShop launch convention.
