Nintendo has revealed the studio behind the upcoming *The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time* remake in an official developer interview. The team is led by Nintendo Entertainment Planning & Development (EPD) Production Group No. 3, Nintendo’s longstanding Zelda development unit. The confirmation comes after speculation about whether an external studio like Grezzo or Monolith Soft would handle the project. The announcement includes interviews with four members of Production Group No. 3, alongside Zelda series veterans Eiji Aonuma and Hidemaro Fujibayashi.

The previous *Ocarina of Time* remake for the 3DS was developed by Grezzo, a Japanese studio known for its work on Nintendo remakes. Grezzo also led the 3DS version of *Majora’s Mask* and *The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom* in 2024. Monolith Soft, another Nintendo-owned studio, was considered a potential candidate due to its support work on recent Zelda titles like *Tears of the Kingdom* and *Breath of the Wild*.

The confirmation addresses doubts about whether Production Group No. 3 would focus solely on new Zelda projects instead of a remake. The studio is also involved in developing the next major Zelda installment, raising questions about how both projects will proceed simultaneously. Nintendo has not disclosed whether support studios like Grezzo or Monolith Soft will assist with the remake, leaving their roles unclear until the game’s launch.

The full list of studios contributing to the remake will be revealed upon its release on November 5. The announcement follows Nintendo’s tradition of revealing development details through its *Ask the Developer* series, which provides insights into its creative processes. The remake marks a return to the original *Ocarina of Time*, first released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64.
