German engineering startup Morreon GmbH is developing Anchor, an AI-based operating system aimed at accelerating the planning and execution of complex energy infrastructure projects. The platform integrates document processing, engineering design, cost management, tendering, and project scheduling into a unified environment. It targets sectors such as battery energy storage systems, substations, electric truck charging infrastructure, and data centers, where fragmented documentation and coordination challenges often delay development timelines.

Anchor’s initial focus is converting unstructured project information—including PDFs, CAD files, spreadsheets, emails, site documentation, and meeting transcripts—into a standardized engineering brief. The system classifies information by reliability and scope, organizing it within a version-controlled data structure. It flags contradictions for human review and converts missing data into prioritized questions for relevant engineering disciplines, ensuring engineers must approve assumptions before they become part of the verified project dataset.

Once the engineering brief is established, Anchor supports the development and comparison of alternative infrastructure layouts by mapping project information onto dimensionally accurate site plans. Engineers can dynamically reposition equipment such as battery containers and transformers, with cable lengths and positions tracked as numerical quantities. The platform generates initial layout arrangements and allows teams to compare multiple configurations within seconds, anchoring positions in metric data as documents evolve.

Morreon is also working to link engineering layouts with project budgets by representing infrastructure components as structured quantities. Changes to layouts update measurable parameters like cable lengths and equipment requirements, while cost calculations rely on actual supplier quotations rather than generic benchmarks. The platform integrates tender preparation, bid evaluation, and project scheduling, assembling RFQs from the verified dataset and organizing supplier bids into structured comparison tables for evaluation.
