Razer Unveils All-New Wolverine V4 Line: the Ultimate XBOX Controller For Competitive Players
Razer launched the Wolverine V4 line of Xbox and PC controllers, featuring drift-resistant capacitive thumbsticks, 8,000 Hz HyperPolling, and modular back buttons for competitive gamers.
Razer introduced the Wolverine V4 line, comprising the wireless Wolverine V4 Pro and wired Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition, designed for Xbox and PC competitive gaming. The controllers incorporate new capacitive thumbstick sensors for drift-resistant precision, four magnetic swappable back buttons, and a removable faceplate. The Wolverine V4 Pro supports up to 8,000 Hz polling rate on PC and 250 Hz on Xbox Series X|S, delivering faster positional reporting and lower latency for tighter aim and movement.
The Wolverine V4 Pro includes Razer Pro HyperTriggers with adjustable actuation points from 1.3 mm to 8.2 mm, allowing players to toggle between rapid-fire and analog trigger feels. The controller features reinforced PBT face buttons, an 8-way floating D-pad, and textured TPU side grips for secure handling during long sessions. Customization extends to four interchangeable thumbstick caps and a removable magnetic faceplate for personalized styling.
Through Razer Synapse, users can create four unique profiles with custom bindings, sensitivity settings, and dead zones ranging from 0% to 15%. The software also enables fine-tuning of trigger actuation and multi-function button assignments across six mappable buttons. The Wolverine V4 line is engineered to meet the demands of competitive players, with features aimed at FPS, racing, and sports games.
Razer emphasized the controllers' sub-1 ms response times and superior sensor technology, citing feedback from professional players like LastShot, 2025 Halo World Champion. The Wolverine V4 line is positioned as a purpose-built solution for high-level competitive gaming, with availability details accessible via the official Razer website.
