Owlcat Games has announced a delay for the story-concluding DLC, *Processional of the Damned*, for *Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader*, pushing its release from September to December 2026. The studio cited the need for additional development time to ensure the expansion meets quality standards. Players who purchased Season Pass 2 will receive refunds via Steam’s customer support, though this will remove the DLC and any associated save files unless the *Infinite Museion* DLC is repurchased separately.

The expansion centers on Stella, an "unsanctioned psyker" described as a "miracle sent by the Emperor himself," who sheds tears of blood when channeling psychic power. Her backstory frames her as a living weapon raised by the Ecclesiarchy, unaware of her true nature. Players must decide whether to exploit her abilities, attempt to save her, or embrace her descent into "madness and damnation."

Beyond Stella, *Processional of the Damned* introduces a new zealot archetype focused on bludgeoning weapons, a system called Madness affecting all companions, and new enemies from the Arch Enemy and Aeladari factions. The DLC also includes a free Appearance Pack from Season Pass 2, integrated into the base game for all players, though this change will roll out later on non-Steam platforms.

Owlcat emphasized that the delay is final, with no further adjustments to the December 2026 release window. Refunds for Season Pass 2 owners are available immediately, though affected save files will require repurchasing the *Infinite Museion* DLC to restore compatibility. The studio assured players that the expansion will deliver the experience they expect despite the postponement.
