Claudeforce: The #1 AI Meets the #1 CRM
Salesforce and Anthropic launched Claudeforce, integrating the #1 AI model (Claude) with the #1 CRM (Salesforce) to enable AI-driven sales workflows. The Salesforce in Claude plugin, with 37 sales skills, is available for pilot customers now and planned for open beta in September 2026.
Salesforce and Anthropic announced Claudeforce, a partnership that embeds Salesforce’s trusted business data and governance rules directly into Anthropic’s Claude AI model. The collaboration aims to shift AI from static interfaces to dynamic reasoning across enterprise systems, allowing AI to act on live pipeline data, accounts, and workflows without manual navigation. The first product, Salesforce in Claude, ships as a plugin with 37 prebuilt sales skills, designed to automate tasks like prospecting, deal analysis, and pipeline updates while enforcing existing Salesforce permissions and business rules.
The plugin leverages Salesforce’s Headless 360 capabilities, enabling AI to interact with data, workflows, and agents via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) without requiring custom integrations or user interfaces. This approach allows Claude to operate within Salesforce, Slack, or email while maintaining consistent data access and governance. Early pilots with Salesforce’s own sales teams demonstrated time savings, with automated pipeline reviews and account histories reducing manual prep work and accelerating customer interactions.
Salesforce in Claude introduces features such as proactive alerts for critical metric changes, embedded Tableau data capabilities, and AI-generated action plans based on live pipeline data. The system prioritizes transparency, requiring user approval for external communications and limiting AI actions to authorized fields. Administrators configure permissions once, applying them uniformly across teams without per-user setup, while Salesforce and Anthropic are developing additional enterprise controls for data storage, access, and automated compliance reviews.
The partnership builds on prior integrations like Claude Tag in Slack and Agentforce, expanding AI’s role in collaborative workflows and coding. Salesforce in Claude is available to select pilot customers today, with an open beta scheduled for September 2026. The initial release focuses on sales teams, with plans to extend capabilities to other departments in subsequent updates. The integration emphasizes trusted data governance, zero data retention for Sonnet, Opus, and Haiku models, and a shift from software as an interface to software powering intelligent, context-aware actions.
