Salesforce Marks One Year of Missionforce with Strong Growth Across Government and Defense
Salesforce’s Missionforce platform, launched a year ago for government use, has seen rapid adoption with defense sector growth of 80% and support for over 60 federal agencies and all U.S. military branches.
Salesforce introduced Missionforce one year ago as an agentic platform designed to integrate trusted AI, data, applications, and cloud technology for government missions. The platform has since become the company’s fastest-growing industry segment, driven by increased demand in the defense sector and broader public sector adoption.
Missionforce now supports critical missions across more than 30 countries, 60 U.S. federal agencies, all 15 U.S. Cabinet departments, all 50 states, and all six branches of the U.S. military. Salesforce was also recognized as a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for National Civilian Government AI-Enabled Case Management.
The platform’s growth reflects government agencies’ urgent need to modernize services while maintaining security, accountability, and high standards. Kendall Collins, CEO of Missionforce & Government Cloud, highlighted the shift from AI ambition to operational deployment, emphasizing the role of trusted data and actionable intelligence in mission success.
Missionforce is expanding partnerships, including a new collaboration with OpenAI, to provide government agencies with greater choice in AI models and infrastructure. This aligns with a broader trend toward operational AI deployment in government, laying groundwork for future mission-ready applications.
