The U.S. Air Force 441st Vehicle Support Chain Operations Squadron (VSCOS) has transitioned to Missionforce National Security to oversee its $13.5 billion fleet of over 84,000 vehicles across 389 locations. The shift replaces a legacy system nearing sunset, providing a scalable IL5-authorized platform to maintain global mission readiness without operational downtime. The squadron, consisting of 85 personnel, required a solution capable of supporting over 7,300 users while ensuring continuous mission support.
Missionforce National Security delivers a unified digital backbone on Salesforce Government Cloud Plus Defense, integrating IL5-approved applications to streamline logistics. The platform consolidates fragmented operations into a single system, offering real-time visibility and enterprise-level management for global mission needs. This modernization reduces service downtime and enhances commanders’ decision-making capabilities across distributed locations.
The migration establishes a clean data foundation, enabling future AI integrations to automate tasks such as manual data entry, VIN validation, and predictive maintenance. VSCOS is already exploring AI-driven use cases to improve efficiency and accuracy in fleet management. The platform’s scalability aligns with the Department of Defense’s digital acceleration goals, supporting secure and resilient operations.
