Sunstone Credit launches new commercial financing product for energy projects
Sunstone Credit introduced Flex, a financing product for commercial energy projects beyond solar, including HVAC, roofing, and EV charging, to streamline contractor sales and customer payments.
Sunstone Credit, a commercial loan platform, has launched Flex, a new financing product designed to support energy-related projects such as HVAC, roofing, energy performance, and EV charging. The product aims to provide commercial contractors with a streamlined sales tool to close more projects by offering flexible payment options. Unlike traditional bank financing, Flex simplifies the process for contractors and their customers, reducing delays caused by budget constraints.
Flex expands Sunstone Credit’s existing commercial financing platform, which already serves over 1,000 solar contractor partners nationwide. The new product extends financing options to a broader range of energy-related projects, including those for multifamily properties, HOAs, religious institutions, and nonprofits. This move aligns with Sunstone’s goal of supporting mission-critical energy improvements across diverse commercial sectors.
Josh Goldberg, Co-Founder & CEO of Sunstone Credit, highlighted the company’s success in solar financing, noting over $2 billion in loan applications since inception. He emphasized the need to address budget and cash flow challenges that often delay or cancel essential projects. Flex is positioned as a solution to help contractors secure more bids and enable customers to complete projects without the complexities of traditional financing.
The announcement follows Sunstone Credit’s established role in the solar industry, where its platform has become a trusted resource for commercial solar financing. By introducing Flex, the company seeks to replicate its model across additional energy sectors, providing a consistent and accessible financing option for contractors and property owners alike.
