He stated the early announcement would allow sufficient time for a thorough leadership transition and candidate search.
Hutton, who has led Sellafield Ltd for the past three years, will pursue a non-executive career and spend more time with his family. The Board and Executive team praised his dedication and commitment to the organisation’s work, noting his significant impact across Sellafield Ltd and the wider Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Group.
