Vercel has added Amazon S3 to its Marketplace, allowing developers to create and connect S3 resources directly from the Vercel project dashboard without switching platforms. The integration automatically configures connection details as environment variables and provides links to AWS for further configuration. Authentication relies on short-lived OIDC credentials, eliminating the need to store static AWS keys.

The integration also supports v0, a feature that automates resource provisioning, connection setup, and code generation based on user prompts. This streamlines the process of integrating S3 storage into applications by reducing manual configuration steps. Developers can now manage S3 alongside other infrastructure components within the same interface.

Vercel Blob remains available for public and private file storage, offering built-in caching and CDN delivery optimized for end-user proximity. The Amazon S3 integration caters to workflows requiring existing AWS services, analytics on Iceberg tables, or vector storage and search capabilities through S3 Tables and S3 Vectors.

To encourage adoption, Vercel offers $100 USD in AWS credits for new accounts created via the Marketplace, valid for six months. Existing AWS accounts can be linked, though only new buckets created through Vercel are supported. Usage and billing are managed directly from the Vercel dashboard.
