Elorian AI's Glimpse now available on AI Gateway
Elorian AI’s Glimpse visual reasoning model is now accessible via Vercel’s AI Gateway, enabling image and video analysis with object tracking and spatial reasoning.
Glimpse, a visual reasoning model from Elorian AI, has been integrated into Vercel’s AI Gateway, allowing users to process images and videos for tasks such as object tracking, spatial relationship analysis, and interpreting physical consequences of actions. The model can revisit visual data during processing, enabling detailed examination like zooming into specific areas or tracking features across video frames. This capability supports applications in scientific chart analysis, video captioning, visual counting, and robotics data annotation. Examples include analyzing train motion to detect speed changes or labeling completed actions in robotic footage.
To use Glimpse via AI Gateway, developers can send video files as part of a request using AI SDK 7, with the video provided as a file part or referenced via a public or signed HTTPS URL. The integration supports configuration in tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, requiring the latest Vercel CLI for setup. AI Gateway functions as a unified API, simplifying model calls while offering features such as usage tracking, cost management, and performance optimizations like retries and failover.
AI Gateway includes additional features such as built-in custom reporting, Zero Data Retention support, budget controls for API keys, and routing rules to enhance reliability and cost efficiency. The platform provides unified access to multiple models while maintaining provider pricing without markup. It does not impose a platform fee on inference costs, including requests made under Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) arrangements.
The integration of Glimpse into AI Gateway expands the range of visual reasoning tasks developers can perform without managing separate APIs or infrastructure. By consolidating model access, usage tracking, and performance settings under one interface, AI Gateway aims to streamline workflows for teams working with visual data. The absence of platform fees and adherence to provider pricing further reduces operational costs for inference tasks.
