Key points
·
Mention @Vercel in any channel or thread, and Agent joins the conversation with relevant context from your Vercel projects, including deployments, builds, logs, metrics, configuration, and connected repos.
·
Investigate incidents: Ask why a deployment failed or what’s causing a runtime error.
·
Write and review code: Work with your team and Agent to fix build and CI failures, review pull requests with production context, or turn a decision from the thread into a tested PR.
·
Take action with approval: Tell it to make a change, such as rolling back a deployment or updating configuration.

Vercel Agent is now accessible in Slack, allowing users to mention @Vercel in any channel or thread to receive context from Vercel projects. The tool provides relevant details such as deployments, builds, logs, metrics, configuration, and connected repositories. Users can query Agent to diagnose issues like failed deployments or runtime errors, with Agent investigating and explaining findings in plain language.

The integration supports collaborative code work, enabling teams to address build and CI failures, review pull requests with production context, or convert discussion points into tested pull requests. Agent can draft plans for changes, such as rolling back deployments or updating configurations, but requires explicit approval before executing any actions.

Agent operates under its own identity in Slack, maintaining read-only access by default and adhering to the permissions of the requester. All actions are logged and attributed to Agent, the requester, and any approver, ensuring transparency. The tool does not make changes without prior approval, enhancing security and accountability.

Vercel for Slack follows Vercel Agent pricing, with a limited number of simple requests available for free during the beta period. Paid requests are billed on demand. The public beta is currently open to Pro and Enterprise teams, accessible via the Vercel Marketplace.
