Deploy Cursor Origin repositories with Vercel in public beta
Vercel has launched a public beta allowing Pro customers to connect Origin repositories, enabling automatic Preview deployments on pull requests and Production deployments upon merging.
Vercel announced that Pro customers can now link their Origin repositories to the Vercel platform. Once connected, pull requests on Origin will automatically generate Preview deployments on Vercel, providing immediate feedback on proposed changes. This integration aims to streamline the development workflow by reducing manual deployment steps. The feature is accessible through Team settings, Project settings, or during new project creation via a dedicated option.
Users can also establish the connection from within Origin by adding Vercel as an app in the repository’s Apps tab. This bidirectional integration ensures flexibility in how teams manage their repositories and deployments. The integration is currently in public beta for Vercel and early beta for Origin, reflecting ongoing development phases.
The deployment process is automated: merging a pull request triggers a Production deployment, aligning with Vercel’s existing deployment workflows. This reduces the risk of errors associated with manual deployments and accelerates the release cycle. The feature adheres to Vercel’s existing policies for private repositories, ensuring compliance with their terms of service.
Vercel emphasized that this integration is designed to enhance collaboration and efficiency for teams using both platforms. The public beta phase allows for broader testing and feedback, with potential refinements based on user input. No additional pricing details were provided beyond the Pro customer requirement.
