A Colossal Update and Two DLCs Come to Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles
Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles releases a major update alongside two new DLCs, introducing new ships, curved walls, combat overhauls, and returning greenery to the Ursee.
Solo developer Tomas Sala announced a substantial update for Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, alongside two new downloadable content packs—Verne Bannerless and Medieval Houses. The update aligns the Xbox version with the PC version, incorporating extensive player feedback and years of development. The changes include new mechanics, visual improvements, and expanded gameplay systems designed to enhance player experience across all platforms.
Two new surveyor ships were introduced, including the Behemoth, a massive vessel equipped with heavy weaponry. Players can now construct curved walls without restrictions on type, length, or angle, allowing for more dynamic settlement designs. Owned trade routes grant control over ships, though combat may result in captain losses. Water shaders and waves have been refined for improved visual appeal, encouraging exploration of the Ursee’s varied aquatic environments.
Combat systems received a thorough overhaul, with enemy forces gaining new behaviors such as defending settlements, patrolling, and blockading trade routes. Players can command escorts in new formations, including focused attacks or loose engagements. Additional balancing changes aim to make conflicts more engaging and strategic, reflecting the evolving world of Bulwark.
Natural elements are gradually returning to the Ursee, with Arbology towers enabling players to plant trees in settlements. The Medieval Houses DLC introduces six timber-clad houses for settlement decoration, while the Verne Bannerless DLC adds aggressive airships like the Bannerless Corsair and Piranha Fast airship. Both DLCs are available now alongside the colossal update on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
