Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Most Requested Update – New Game+, Rune Forge Update, New Resource, and More

The update introduces New Game+ mode, allowing players to replay the game with their endgame character while continuing to advance power and progression. Lead Game Designer David Larouche emphasized that New Game+ was the most requested feature by fans, reflecting the community’s long-standing demand for deeper replayability. The update also includes an extended progression system and upgrades to divine gear to enhance the endgame experience.

A new tier of runes and over 300 rune perks have been added to the Rune Forge, enabling players to customize their builds with previously unavailable options. These perks can be engraved regardless of their original source, including expansions or the Store, expanding build variety. Larouche highlighted the team’s smooth development process, noting the experience of the team in implementing New Game+ features.

The update converts all item perks into runes that can be engraved in the Rune Forge, allowing players to mix and match abilities across different gear sets. Larouche expressed excitement about players discovering powerful synergies through these new combinations. The team also emphasized their ongoing commitment to the community, citing regular engagement with player feedback and creations.

Ubisoft underscored that New Game+ was developed to give longtime players another reason to revisit Eivor’s world, even years after the game’s final content update. The update aims to provide a fresh perspective while retaining earned progress, reinforcing the game’s lasting appeal to its dedicated fanbase.
