AWS states that C8gd, M8gd, and R8gd instances deliver up to 40% higher performance for I/O-intensive database workloads and up to 20% faster query results for I/O-intensive real-time data analytics compared to Graviton3-based instances. The instances are built on the AWS Nitro System, ensuring high performance and security for demanding applications. Customers can adjust bandwidth resources dynamically to better align with workload requirements.

To facilitate migration, AWS offers resources such as the AWS Graviton Fast Start program and Porting Advisor for Graviton.
