Amazon EC2 G7 instances now available in Europe (Frankfurt) and Europe (Stockholm) Regions
AWS has expanded Amazon EC2 G7 instances with NVIDIA RTX PRO GPUs to Europe (Frankfurt) and Europe (Stockholm) Regions, enhancing AI inference, graphics, and data analytics workloads.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the availability of Amazon EC2 G7 instances powered by NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs in the Europe (Frankfurt) and Europe (Stockholm) Regions. These instances are designed to accelerate AI inference workloads by up to 4.6 times and graphics performance by up to 2.1 times compared to previous G6 instances, enabling faster processing for tasks such as language translation and video analysis.
G7 instances support a range of GPU-accelerated workloads, including real-time graphics rendering, game streaming, video transcoding, spatial computing, and data analytics. Customers can deploy AI models for applications like speech recognition, recommender systems, and image analysis, leveraging the improved performance for more efficient operations.
The new instances feature up to eight NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, each with 32 GB of memory, paired with custom Intel Xeon 6 processors. They offer up to 192 virtual CPUs, 700 Gbps of Elastic Fabric Adapter networking bandwidth, 768 GiB of system memory, and 7.6 TB of local NVMe SSD storage, providing substantial compute and storage capabilities.
G7 instances are now accessible in multiple AWS Regions, including US West (Oregon), US East (N. Virginia, Ohio), and Europe (Spain, Frankfurt, Stockholm). They can be purchased as On-Demand Instances, Spot Instances, or through Savings Plans, with setup available via the AWS Management Console, CLI, or SDKs.
