AWS Transform continuous modernization is now generally available
AWS has made its Transform continuous modernization service generally available, enabling engineering teams to analyze and address technical debt across code repositories using GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket integrations.

AWS Transform continuous modernization is now available in all supported AWS Regions, allowing engineering teams to analyze and remediate technical debt across source code repositories at scale. The service supports connecting GitHub organizations, GitLab groups, and Bitbucket workspaces to run analyses on demand or on a schedule. Findings can be prioritized across categories such as technical debt, security, agentic readiness, modernization readiness, and custom criteria, providing actionable insights for teams.
With the general availability release, users can initiate and schedule analyses, review findings, and create remediations directly from the AWS Transform web application. For findings with associated remediations, the service automatically creates branches and opens pull requests or merge requests with validated code changes for review. All analysis and remediation processes operate within the user's AWS account using their credentials, ensuring source code remains under their control.
The service also supports AWS Transform Kiro Power, agent plugins, and the AWS Transform CLI for workflows within IDEs or terminals. Users can analyze local repositories, organize them using labels, and run analyses locally or remotely via Amazon EC2 or AWS Batch. This flexibility allows teams to integrate modernization efforts into existing development workflows seamlessly.
