AWS Transform continuous modernization is now generally available
AWS has made its Transform continuous modernization service generally available, enabling engineering teams to analyze and address technical debt across code repositories at scale.
AWS Transform continuous modernization is now available in all supported AWS Regions. The service allows engineering teams to connect GitHub organizations, GitLab groups, and Bitbucket workspaces to analyze source code repositories for technical debt, security risks, and modernization readiness. Analyses can be run on demand or scheduled, with findings prioritized across multiple criteria. The service supports custom analysis criteria, providing flexibility for teams to tailor assessments to their specific needs.
Teams can initiate and schedule analyses, review findings, and create remediations directly from the AWS Transform web application. For findings with associated remediations, the service automatically creates branches and opens pull requests or merge requests with validated code changes for review. All analyses and remediations operate within the user's AWS account using their credentials, ensuring source code remains under their control.
AWS Transform offers additional tools for local and remote analysis, including Kiro Power, agent plugins, and the AWS Transform CLI. These tools enable developers to work from their IDE or terminal, analyze local repositories, and organize repositories using labels. Analyses can be executed locally or remotely via Amazon EC2 or AWS Batch, providing versatility in how teams integrate the service into their workflows.
