Claude Opus 5 is now available in AWS GovCloud (US)
AWS GovCloud (US) now provides access to Anthropic’s Claude Opus 5 model via Amazon Bedrock, with zero data retention enabled by default.
Amazon Web Services has made Anthropic’s latest Opus 5 model available in AWS GovCloud (US), including both AWS GovCloud (US-East) and AWS GovCloud (US-West) regions. The model is accessible through the bedrock-runtime endpoint in both regions and via the bedrock-mantle endpoint in US-West. AWS states that zero data retention is enabled by default, aligning with federal data governance requirements. The deployment ensures regional data residency within AWS infrastructure.
