A record 45 MLS players participated in the 2026 World Cup, with many returning to their clubs this week, including eight U.S. players, nine Canadians, and global icons like Lionel Messi, who became the tournament’s all-time leading scorer.
New international stars have joined MLS clubs this summer, including Antoine Griezmann at Orlando City SC, Angus Gunn at San Jose Earthquakes, and Robert Lewandowski at Chicago Fire. Fans can track scores, stats, and standings via the free Apple Sports app for iPhone, which also allows users to navigate between scores, view lineup formations, play-by-play details, and team statistics, and tap to watch matches on the Apple TV app.
Apple TV is available on over one billion screens across more than 100 countries and regions for $12.99 per month, with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers. Commercial venues can access live sports programming through DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS or EverPass, while new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K, or Mac purchasers can receive three months of Apple TV for free for a limited time.
