ROG 20th Anniversary Charity Auction for SpecialEffect
ASUS ROG will host a charity auction on eBay for SpecialEffect, a UK gaming charity for people with disabilities, featuring exclusive ROG 20th anniversary items with proceeds fully donated.
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced at Gamescom 2026 a global charity auction to benefit SpecialEffect, a UK-based charity assisting people with physical disabilities in accessing video games. The auction, hosted on eBay for Charity, will allocate 100% of proceeds to SpecialEffect, with ROG providing auction items and campaign support. The centerpiece includes a ROG Slash Hard-Case Luggage Edition 20 signed by ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, paired with a never-before-sold ROG 20th VVIP Kit. Additional items include a full set of limited-edition ROG 20th Anniversary gear.
Jonney Shih emphasized the auction’s purpose, stating, "Gaming has the power to connect people, create joy, and open new possibilities." He added that ROG’s 20th anniversary support for SpecialEffect aims to make gaming more accessible, aligning with the brand’s mission. Paige Harvey, SpecialEffect’s Gaming Community Manager, highlighted the charity’s reliance on donations, noting that all services are provided free of charge to those in need. The auction seeks to address growing demand for SpecialEffect’s services through community-driven funding.
SpecialEffect, founded in 2007, provides one-to-one support to individuals whose physical disabilities limit their ability to use standard gaming hardware. The charity customizes setups using modified controllers, eye-gaze systems, and other assistive technologies. It also offers equipment loans and ongoing support at no cost to users. The charity’s work ensures that gaming remains inclusive, adapting to the evolving needs of its community. The auction aims to sustain and expand these services through public participation.
Bidders can view the full auction bundle and place bids on the official eBay listing once it goes live. All auction terms, including delivery arrangements, will be detailed on the eBay page. ROG, an ASUS sub-brand established in 2006, designs gaming hardware and software known for performance and quality. The brand sponsors major international gaming events and has set numerous overclocking records. Proceeds from the auction will directly support SpecialEffect’s mission to make gaming accessible to everyone.
