ASUS has opened pre-orders for the ROG XBOX Ally X20 handheld gaming device, priced at $1,299 standalone or $2,499 in a 20th-anniversary bundle with AR glasses and accessories.
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced the opening of pre-orders for the ROG XBOX Ally X20, a handheld gaming device priced at $1,299. The device features a 7.4-inch OLED display powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor. It will be available for purchase on October 15, with a special 20th-anniversary edition design featuring a translucent black chassis and gold internal accents. The design pays homage to gaming aesthetics from two decades ago while incorporating modern performance components.
The ROG XBOX Ally X20 is also offered as part of a $2,499 bundle that includes the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses, a dbrand Killswitch case, a 68-watt adapter, and a Pelican Protector Case. The AR glasses provide a 171-inch virtual screen at four meters with a 240Hz micro-OLED display and BOSE audio. The bundle is designed for collectors and enthusiasts looking to celebrate ROG’s 20th anniversary with a premium setup.
The handheld device includes a revamped cooling system and high-performance AMD silicon, with the translucent design offering a view of its internal components. The special edition model is crafted exclusively for the 20th anniversary of ROG, which was founded in 2006. Gamers can choose between the standalone device or the bundle, allowing flexibility in how they celebrate the milestone.
The bundle’s accessories include a custom Killswitch case with gold-and-black accents, a matching dbrand skin, and a Pelican case with red ROG latches. The ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 Gaming AR Glasses integrate seamlessly with the XBOX Ally X20 via a single USB Type-C cable, offering a streamlined setup for mobile gaming. The glasses feature 3DoF tracking and Anchor Mode for stable gameplay, enhancing immersion for users on the go.
