The useful question is what changes for users, developers or buyers, and whether the announcement stays industry context or becomes something people can actually use.

Between August 2026 and March 2027, the CERN Meyrin site will experience multiple periods of full and partial closures at Gate B, necessitating traffic diversions and modified opening hours at other entrances. The works will proceed in phases, with dates subject to minor adjustments based on construction progress and site conditions. During the closure periods, specific access arrangements will be implemented to maintain site accessibility for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists.

From 31 August 2026, the bus stop at B300 will be relocated to B39, and the bicycle station near B120 will move to B124. During Phase 4, Gate B will remain open for exit only from 11 November 2026 to 7 February 2027. The junction between Route Pauli and Route Einstein will close in Phase 2, requiring drivers to use Route Democrite and Route Rutherford as a diversion.

Access to B55 from Gate B will be unavailable throughout the works, though B55 will remain reachable via B56. Temporary traffic signs will guide road users during diversions. The changes aim to minimize disruption while enabling essential construction activities at Gate B.
