You Received a Payout Link? Here Is How to Collect It
CoinGate introduced Payout Links, allowing crypto recipients to collect payments without creating an account. The service offers flexibility in choosing currency and network while maintaining security through email verification and compliance checks.
CoinGate’s new Payout Links enable users to receive crypto payments without registering an account. The sender provides a link, which recipients open to enter personal details and a wallet address. No CoinGate account is required, and the process is designed to be completed in minutes. The sender initiates the link with the intended recipient’s email, ensuring only the correct person can access the funds. This eliminates the need for manual email exchanges or third-party platforms, streamlining the payout process for both parties.
Recipients must verify their identity by entering basic information such as name, date of birth, and address. The form does not require document uploads or additional verification steps, making the process quick and straightforward. A one-time verification code is sent to the email linked to the Payout Link, which must be entered within ten minutes. If the code expires or multiple incorrect attempts are made, a new code can be requested after a short delay. This step ensures the recipient is the legitimate payee and prevents unauthorized access to the funds.
The next step involves selecting the cryptocurrency and network for the payout. Recipients choose from available options, such as USDC on Solana or Ethereum, and paste their wallet address. The system validates the address to prevent errors, such as sending funds to an incorrect network. If the sender funded the link in a different currency, the payout is automatically converted at no cost to the recipient. The final amount and conversion rate are displayed before confirmation, allowing recipients to review the details before proceeding.
Once confirmed, the payout undergoes compliance checks before being sent to the blockchain. The status updates to “processing” while these checks are completed, and recipients can close the page without affecting the transaction. Upon completion, the payout is marked as collected, and a transaction ID is provided for verification on the blockchain. If compliance checks fail, the payment is returned to the sender in full, and the recipient is instructed to contact them to resolve the issue. This ensures regulatory compliance while maintaining a user-friendly experience.
