Dropbox and SpaceXAI turn project context into durable work in the Cursor Marketplace and Grok Bot

AI models often lack access to the full project history stored in Dropbox, such as evolving briefs, feedback, and approved decisions, which can lead to errors like reviving rejected messaging or missing change orders. To address this, Dropbox is partnering with SpaceXAI to introduce two new integrations: Dropbox in the Cursor Marketplace and the Dropbox MCP for Grok Bot, designed to connect AI tools directly to Dropbox’s stored context. These integrations aim to bridge the gap between static files and dynamic project history, ensuring AI-assisted work reflects the complete picture of a project’s development. By embedding Dropbox’s context into AI workflows, teams can avoid reconstructing decisions and reduce the risk of building on incomplete information.

The Dropbox in the Cursor Marketplace integration provides 19 tools and six workflow-based skills to bring project materials like requirements, research, and technical decisions into AI-assisted build workflows. Developers can reference requirements and technical-review notes while coding, while product managers can use briefs and customer research to draft specifications or prototypes. New documentation can be saved back to Dropbox, turning reasoning into durable records for future contributors. The integration ensures that project context remains connected to the codebase, preserving the 'why' behind decisions alongside the 'how'.

The Dropbox MCP for Grok Bot enables users to assign roles and goals to Grok Bot while leveraging Dropbox’s stored project history, such as approved messaging, assets, research, and meeting notes. This eliminates the need to repeatedly gather background information, allowing the bot to move directly into tasks like developing campaign plans or assembling owner briefings. Results generated by Grok Bot can be saved back to Dropbox, maintaining continuity with existing project materials and ensuring visibility for review and next steps.

Both integrations enforce existing Dropbox permissions, ensuring users only access content they are authorized to view and that organizational policies remain intact. Users must authorize connections and confirm deletions, keeping consequential actions visible and under their control. Dropbox in the Cursor Marketplace is available to individuals and organizations on all Dropbox and Cursor plans, while the Dropbox MCP for Grok Bot is accessible on eligible Cursor subscriptions, including Pro, Pro+, Ultra, Teams Standard, Teams Premium, and Enterprise.
