Dive into new topics with immersive explorations in the Gemini app.
Google’s Gemini app introduces immersive explorations, allowing users to interactively explore topics from microscopic systems to deep space through layered visual experiences.
The Gemini app has added a library of immersive explorations, enabling users to interactively explore topics through layered visual experiences. These explorations cover a range of subjects, from microscopic systems to deep space, and are accessible via the Gemini student hub. Users can click on 'Try immersive explorations' to begin. The feature will soon be available directly within chat conversations with Gemini.
Each exploration unfolds as an interactive and guided experience, allowing users to trace trade routes on the Silk Road, examine the inner workings of a jet engine, or study the physics of lightning. Users can tap labels to delve deeper, moving from planetary scales down to molecular and atomic levels. The explorations are designed to provide a hands-on, visual approach to learning and discovery.
Immersive explorations will soon include audio narration to guide users through each layer of the experience. This feature is currently available in English, Indonesian, Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and simplified Chinese. Users in other languages receive an English-only experience, with additional languages expected to be added in the future.
The immersive explorations feature is available to all users, offering a new way to engage with complex topics through interactive visuals and guided narration. The library expands the app’s educational and exploratory capabilities, providing deeper insights into a variety of subjects.
