Intel and Google Cloud announced an expanded collaboration to integrate Google’s Gemini Enterprise AI across Intel’s workforce, targeting improvements in engineering, supply chain, and corporate operations. The initiative will provide employees with a central platform to build and deploy AI agents, enhancing speed and efficiency in daily tasks. Google Cloud’s scalable infrastructure will support Intel’s semiconductor development by introducing custom agentic workflows to streamline chip design processes. Intel’s CIO Cindy Stoddard emphasized the goal of equipping employees with tools to execute business objectives more rapidly through AI-driven automation.

Google Cloud’s role focuses on redefining enterprise AI capabilities by combining Intel’s engineering expertise with its agentic AI tools. The partnership aims to create an autonomous foundation that accelerates Intel’s design, operation, and scaling processes for AI-driven workflows. Karthik Narain, Google Cloud’s chief product and business officer, highlighted the potential to fundamentally transform how Intel operates amid the AI wave. The collaboration builds on prior co-innovation efforts, including optimizations for next-generation AI infrastructure.

Intel will deploy Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform to automate core business processes, including software development pipelines and multi-step workflows. The platform will enable tailored line-of-business agents to accelerate data-backed execution across Intel’s operations. Early pilots include AI agents for marketing and communications, such as recommending subject matter experts, generating executive messaging, and automating content creation across channels. These tools aim to streamline workflows and improve efficiency in Intel’s corporate functions.

Google Cloud’s scalable infrastructure will augment Intel’s on-premises compute capabilities, supporting complex simulations and core developer workloads. Intel plans to scale its on-premises compute cores to Google Cloud’s C4 and N4 instances, enabling concurrent high-performance computing (HPC) simulations to speed chip development cycles. This expansion follows a history of collaboration between the two companies, including recent efforts to optimize AI infrastructure. The partnership is expected to create high-tech jobs and expand manufacturing capacity in Ireland.
