NVIDIA Lands in Europe for GTC Berlin
NVIDIA founder Jensen Huang visited Paris and Barcelona to host hands-on AI workshops, raffling off AI computing devices and showcasing robotic projects ahead of GTC Berlin.
NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang made a surprise appearance at Pavillon Vendôme in Paris during a developer event focused on building AI-powered robotic claw machines. The gathering, part of NVIDIA’s Build-a-Claw initiative, drew crowds of developers from startups and major companies to assemble and program robotic claws using open models and NVIDIA’s platform. Huang interacted with attendees, demonstrated NVIDIA DGX Spark and RTX Spark devices, and raffled off one of each, signing an IOU for the sold-out RTX Spark.
The Paris event followed a morning session in Barcelona at the Palacio de Pedralbes, where Huang also attended a Build-a-Claw workshop. Hundreds of developers, researchers, and AI enthusiasts participated in constructing robotic claw machines capable of learning from failures and improving performance within hours. The sessions highlighted practical applications of open models for building and training robots quickly, safely, and securely.
In Paris, Huang later attended an ecosystem reception with France’s AI leaders at Salle des Tirages, underscoring the country’s growing ambitions in AI deployment. The day’s events spanned historic venues in both countries, reflecting strong developer engagement and enthusiasm ahead of NVIDIA’s GTC Berlin conference.
France’s AI ecosystem has advanced from ambition to application, with companies deploying agentic computing across sectors including space, financial services, the public sector, and scientific research. This progress follows commitments made at the AI Action Summit in February 2025 and the Choose France Summits in 2025 and 2026, which secured major compute investments on French soil.
