OpenAI and ServiceNow expand partnership across enterprise workflows
OpenAI and ServiceNow deepen collaboration to embed AI models and agents across enterprise workflows, enhancing development, IT, security, and voice-based interactions.
OpenAI and ServiceNow are expanding their partnership to integrate OpenAI’s models and agents into ServiceNow’s workflows, covering development, IT requests, and security operations. The collaboration builds on their January announcement, aiming to streamline how businesses build applications, resolve incidents, and manage risks using AI. A new integration will connect ServiceNow workflows directly with ChatGPT, allowing teams to investigate issues and take action without leaving the conversation. Customers can link ChatGPT to their ServiceNow instance, with capabilities governed by their organization’s existing rules and permissions.
ServiceNow is previewing interactive experiences within ChatGPT, such as an on-call engineer reviewing monitoring alerts, recent changes, and affected services to assign teams and resolve issues directly in the chat. A planned Codex integration in ServiceNow’s AI Workflow Factory will assist developers in building applications using ServiceNow’s business context and platform tools. OpenAI models will also support Build Agent and Autonomous Engineer to aid in application development and modernization efforts.
A joint cybersecurity solution will combine OpenAI’s capabilities with ServiceNow’s asset, identity, and business context to help teams investigate vulnerabilities, prioritize risks, and coordinate remediation. An OpenAI-powered voice experience in ServiceNow’s Super Intelligence Control Tower will allow users to describe AI use cases aloud, populating fields and gathering additional details through follow-up questions.
ServiceNow plans to provide all employees with access to ChatGPT Work and Codex, expanding beyond its engineering team. Engineers will use Codex to explore codebases, make changes, and run tests, while other teams will leverage ChatGPT Work for daily tasks. ServiceNow will also apply OpenAI capabilities internally for security operations, and OpenAI will use ServiceNow workflows in its own operations via the Super Intelligence Control Tower.
