Paramount expands talent pipeline programs with initiatives for performers, writers, artists, and early-career storytellers, offering mentorship, funding, and real-world experience to foster diversity and representation in entertainment.

Paramount has launched multiple talent development programs to create opportunities for performers with disabilities through the CBS Performers with Disabilities Talent Initiative, established in 2021. The initiative focuses on removing barriers by providing talent tracking, audition opportunities, and annual professional growth programming. Participants gain exposure to industry standards and support to advance their careers in front of and behind the camera.
The Nick Writing Program offers aspiring writers mentorship from seasoned professionals and executives, while the Nick Artist Program supports emerging artists in refining their skills. Both initiatives aim to cultivate new talent by connecting participants with established industry figures and hands-on learning experiences tailored to their creative disciplines.
The CBS Leadership Pipeline Challenge empowers early-career storytellers to produce short films in partnership with local nonprofit organizations. Selected filmmakers receive a $5,000 budget, mentorship, and resources, along with real-world creative leadership experience. The program, recognized with an Anthem Award, emphasizes community engagement and professional development for emerging talent.
Paramount’s Comedy Showcase, running since 2005, is an annual hybrid event featuring live performances and original writing. Attended by casting agents, showrunners, and executives, the showcase offers a paid fellowship that provides hands-on training in pilot and episodic TV casting. Participants receive mentorship from the CBS Studios casting team, gaining practical experience and industry connections to support their career growth.
