Helldivers 2: new poisonous Terminid types, more bug caves spawn across the galaxy today

The Ministry of Truth has identified two new Terminid strains: the fast, venomous Noxious Scavenger and the hulking Noxious Spewer. Both are hostile to Managed Democracy and now appear more frequently across the Galactic map. The Noxious Scavenger moves quickly and delivers potent poison with each bite, though it remains fragile against high-volume weapons like shotguns or flamethrowers.

The Noxious Spewer introduces a new threat by spitting webs that restrict movement and exploding into snares upon impact. Its abdomen is unarmored, making it vulnerable to precise fire, but its venomous bite and rapid approach demand caution. Super Earth advises targeting the abdomen while avoiding its Web Spit to minimize risk.

Poison from these new Terminids now appears on the HUD with severity indicators, ranging from hazy vision to sprint loss and health degradation. Heavily poisoned Helldivers face increased damage over time and require stims to recover. Squad coordination and stim management are critical to countering these effects in combat.

Bug caves have expanded beyond select worlds, now spawning in more biomes with cramped corridors and blind corners. These environments favor the Noxious strain’s speed and ambush tactics. Super Earth recommends close-range firepower, squad cohesion, and stim reserves to navigate these underground networks safely.
