PV Hardware USA (PVH USA) has expanded its Houston manufacturing facility by approximately 3,180 m2, increasing total capacity by 42% to support a 35% rise in pre-assembled tracker component output. The expansion enables the company to move complex assembly tasks from outdoor jobsites into a controlled factory environment, enhancing quality and consistency. CEO Alfonso Queipo stated the move responds to customer demand for increased domestic manufacturing capacity and improved operational control.

The project follows a $30 million investment in May 2024 to launch the first Houston facility and a 95,000-square-foot tracker factory in September 2025, building on PVH USA’s growing Texas presence. Since 2023, the company has refined its pre-assembly model to streamline utility-scale solar installations and address field labor shortages faced by engineering, procurement, and construction firms.

PVH USA reports that completing sub-assembly tasks in the factory reduces loose components delivered to project sites by up to 70%, with about 188 parts per row assembled off-site. This approach improves field installation rates by up to 44%, lowers on-site labor needs, and enhances project scheduling predictability while reducing worker exposure to severe weather conditions.

The expansion also emphasizes sustainability and supply chain benefits by localizing sub-assembly in Texas, cutting carbon emissions from long-haul shipping and increasing domestic content compliance under U.S. clean energy incentives. PVH USA noted steel comprises over 98% of its tracker system weight, supporting high recyclability at end-of-life.
