Salesforce and Entre Ríos Sign Argentina’s First Provincial Collaboration Agreement to Advance AI Initiatives for Government, SMEs, and Citizens
Salesforce and Entre Ríos signed Argentina’s first provincial AI collaboration agreement, focusing on government digitalization, SME support, and workforce training.
The useful question is what changes for users, developers or buyers, and whether the announcement stays industry context or becomes something people can actually use.
Salesforce and the government of Entre Ríos formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 15, 2026, to advance AI-driven initiatives across the province. The agreement outlines three pillars: digital transformation of public administration using AI agents, support for small and medium enterprises, and training programs for public officials and citizens in AI skills. The collaboration builds on Salesforce’s prior work in Argentina, including a federal AI study conducted with CIPPEC. Entre Ríos becomes the first province to implement a concrete action plan based on these efforts.
Governor Rogelio Frigerio highlighted the agreement’s practical benefits, stating that residents will gain access to AI training platforms while local businesses will receive tools typically reserved for large corporations. The initiative positions Entre Ríos as a pioneer in Argentina’s AI adoption, with Frigerio emphasizing that this is only the beginning of broader provincial engagement. The MoU was signed by Frigerio and Alejandro Anderlic, Salesforce’s Director of Government and External Affairs for Latin America, in the presence of provincial and company officials.
Salesforce framed the partnership as a step toward federal technological development in Argentina, emphasizing public-private collaboration to accelerate digital transformation. Alejandro Anderlic noted that the agreement aligns with the company’s commitment to supporting Argentina’s modernization agenda. The collaboration follows a prior MoU signed with Argentina’s national government during Argentina Week 2026, reinforcing Salesforce’s expanding role in the country’s AI ecosystem.
Provincial officials underscored the strategic importance of the agreement for Entre Ríos’ technological ecosystem. Emanuel Gainza, Secretary of Modernization, Science, Technology, and Innovation, praised the initiative as validation of the province’s preparedness to leverage AI for development. Marcelo Guajardo, Salesforce’s Manager of Government Affairs and Public Policy for the Southern Cone, described the agreement as a milestone, marking the first time Salesforce collaborated directly with a provincial government to implement AI-driven solutions.
